ABOUT THE BAND
The Steel Woods came out of Nashville sounding like a band that had already lived a lot of life. Heavy guitars, country soul, Southern rock and blues all ran through the music, but it never felt like a throwback. It felt honest. It felt lived in. These were songs written by and for people who understood what it meant to carry some weight.

The band built its following the old fashioned way, playing clubs, theaters and festival fields, then letting late nights, long drives and word of mouth do the rest. The songs were big without being polished clean. They carried grief, faith, anger, hope, humor and plenty of miles. Onstage, The Steel Woods had a way of making the whole room feel like part of the band.

The Steel Woods played their final tour in 2024, but the records and stories are still here. In 2026, the band opened the archive for The Lexington Tapes (Live), an unreleased recording from 2017 that captures the original lineup in its early years. The community that grew around the music continues to carry it forward.
